Something that is near & dear to our heart here at Chateau Christine is philanthropy. Our first philanthropy event we created is hosting our annual Compassion & Fashion Spring Fashion Show. Yes, it's a lot of fun, music & friends, but we dive deeper than just that!
Let's break down the "Fashion" & "Compassion" aspects of our fundraiser. The "Fashion" comes into play with our models. We gather up a group of fabulous ladies who model fashions directly from our storefront. We turn up the tunes & the girls strut their stuff! The "Compassion" part of our program comes with some help. We partner up with Women's Services, a local nonprofit located in Downtown Meadville. Women's Services receives the net profits of our event which is fully self-funded. They also find a speaker for us, typically a survivor or warrior, who comes up onto stage and shares their story. We wouldn't have the compassion without these survivors!
When you mesh these together, you get our Compassions & Fashions Projects. The goal is to bring awareness to local nonprofits in our community like Women's Services while also being a guiding light to those in need. Women supporting women, that's our motto!
